Note: This is a temporary full-time role for 9-months with the possibility of extension.
What You Will Do:
Be the expert on product flow through assigned terminal assets and how all assets interact together to optimize system efficiency.
Have a broad understanding of all technical aspects of pipeline design and operations to drive safe optimized solutions out of a multidisciplinary group of stakeholders.
Assess the feasibility of commercial requests and develop ideas into solutions for execution (scope screening triages etc.).
Provide recommendations on complex business problems to drive decision-making.
Use deep system understanding and business insight to pinpoint and craft arguments for optimization opportunities.
Conduct risk assessments for proposed new projects and operational changes.
Offer and implement ideas for continuous improvement of tools processes and standards.
Coach mentor and motivate junior team members and stakeholders.
Employ technology to enhance business processes and team efficiency.
Who you are:
University degree in Engineering
Registered member with APEGA as a . in the Province of Alberta
Minimum 6 years of progressive experience; preferably in oil & gas or the pipeline industry.
A humble team member who displays accountability and self-motivation.
Organized and proficient in communication to ensure smooth interactions within and outside the team.
Demonstrates outstanding skills in managing collaborators bringing to bear influence and encouraging collaboration across diverse groups.
Blends operational and/or engineering expertise with the ability to navigate ambiguity showcasing resilience and persistence.
Exercises decisiveness and prioritization driving recommendations and decisions that yield results.
Problem-solver who applies critical thinking analytical skills and creativity.
Focusing on efficiency and precision to address complex challenges.
Demonstrates a strategic approach envisioning the big picture proactively crafting future outcomes and challenging typical norms.
Technologically literate using tools and resources to optimize processes and outcomes.
Working Conditions:
Office environment working with multiple project teams
Minimal travel is required (<5%). Valid passport is required.
