The pay for this position starts at $19.53/hour with additional compensation added for higher education and/or years of relevant experience up to $22.76/hour.
This position is located in Templeton MA.
This position is full-time: Monday - Friday 7am-3pm.
$250 Bonus if MAP Certified.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Massachusetts is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to helping children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other psychological emotional and behavioral disorders. Through our residential and placement services in the community we help individuals learn the skills needed for independent living and making meaningful life choices. We provide supportive settings in comfortable home environments and ensure that individuals have access to services that are appropriate to their developmental level and cognitive emotional and social abilities.
We are looking for caring and compassionate people who want to work in a 4-bed IDD/ASD adult male group home setting. As a Direct Support Professional you are a teacher - coaching and demonstrating skills to increase individuals independence relationship builder - developing positive connections with individuals their friends and families and their DDS service coordinators and an environmental manager - monitoring the safety and security of the home and community.
Responsibilities may include coaching and assisting in hygiene routines chore completion meal preparation administration of medications completion of required paperwork planning and facilitating recreational activities assisting with transportation and supporting individuals in working and achieving their goals.

Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid drivers license required.
- High School diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.
- Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation Monday to Friday 8AM to 4PM in Rutland MA.
- Must be MAPS certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
