Job Description
Job Title: PDVT Engineer
Location: San Jose CA (Onsite)
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Power Electronics Lab Engineer with expertise in power analyzers board-mount power testing failure analysis and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will conduct lab testing validation and documentation ensuring high-quality performance of power electronics components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on lab testing using oscilloscopes function generators electronic loads and AC/DC power sources.
- Execute board-mount and front-end power test cases to validate designs.
- Identify and document bugs/issues during validation and report findings to design teams.
- Create and maintain detailed test reports with measured data and analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in power electronics (AC/DC-DC/DC conversion power conversion topologies).
- Strong understanding of board-mount and front-end power systems.
- Proficiency in using power analyzers (oscilloscope AC/DC power source function generators electronic loads).
- Experience in soldering components on PCB and reading schematics.
- Comfortable working in a Unix/Linux environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting in lab environments.
- Knowledge of test planning validation and driving failures to resolution with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to document test results concisely and clearly.
- Familiarity with scripting for automation (Python Shell).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced work environment and eagerness to learn new concepts.
- Team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Strong troubleshooting debugging and issue resolution skills.
