Job Description
Job Title : AI/ML Gen AI Engineer
Location Chicago IL
Job Type : Contract
We are looking for skilled AI/ML Engineer with deep expertise in Generative AI. Resource is expected to work at the intersection of manufacturing operations and artificial intelligence developing cutting-edge GenAI solutions to streamline workflows improve decision-making and enable intelligent automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and deploy GenAI-powered applications for manufacturing operations (e.g. SOP generation batch record summarization deviation analysis).
- Implement LLM-based Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to access and synthesize manufacturing knowledge from structured and unstructured sources (e.g. MES LIMS QMS SOPs).
- Fine tune domain specific models to align with pharmaceutical language and compliance requirements.
- Build secure scalable APIs and user interfaces for GenAI applications used by operators engineers and quality teams.
- Collaborate with SMEs process engineers IT and compliance teams to understand use cases and validate AI solutions.
- Apply prompt engineering and model evaluation techniques to optimize accuracy relevance and safety of outputs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Data Science Engineering or related field.
- 3 years of experience in AI/ML with at least 1 year working on LLM or GenAI-based applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with frameworks such as Hugging Face Transformers LangChain LlamaIndex or similar.
- Experience working with vector databases (e.g. FAISS Pinecone Weaviate) and embedding techniques.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and containerized deployment (Docker Kubernetes).
