Position: Traveling IT Field Engineer
Location: Richmond VA 23219
Client: State of Virginia
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
We are seeking a Traveling IT Field Engineer to provide on-site support across various regional labs and offices. This role involves installing and maintaining PC hardware software and network peripherals while ensuring excellent customer service. The position requires statewide travel with a state vehicle provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support 4 regional labs and 10 regional offices with IT installations and troubleshooting.
- Provide end-user support for PCs printers and networking issues.
- Collaborate with VITA for network change requests.
- Utilize an IT Service Management ticketing system for work prioritization.
- Assist in modernizing lab equipment integration with existing systems.
Required Skills:
- Advanced technical support for PCs and peripherals (2 years)
- Troubleshooting software/hardware issues (2 years)
- Strong customer relations and communication skills (2 years)
- Ability to manage multiple projects (2 years)
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (2 years)
