Volks Resources has multiple immediate requirements for OSP Fielders based around Orlando FL.

You need previous OSP (Fiber) Fielding experience.

This is an Field position and you must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

OSP Fielder

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented OSP Fielder to support the planning and deployment of fiber optic infrastructure. This position is 100% field-based and involves conducting daily walkouts to verify and document fiber routes (F1 F2 ASE) infrastructure elements and environmental conditions. Data must be captured using both traditional methods and digital tools such as IQGEO.

The successful candidate will have prior experience with AT&Ts OSP processes a strong understanding of fiber route layouts and a disciplined approach to daily reporting of field findings. Your insights will directly support accurate design and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily field walkouts to identify and verify fiber paths including poles handholes anchors tie-downs and required tree trimming areas
• Validate site-specific details such as HOA requirements accurate unit counts and right-of-way conditions
• Capture and submit real-time field data (including GPS coordinates and geotagged images) using tools like IQGEO
• Translate scoping packages into clear and actionable field documentation
• Deliver detailed timely daily field reports to the design and engineering teams
• Recommend route modifications based on on-the-ground conditions to optimize design feasibility and constructability

Requirements

• Prior experience in telecom fielding outside plant construction or a similar role
• Direct experience with AT&Ts OSP fielding processes and standards is required
• Solid understanding of F1 F2 and ASE fiber network topologies
• Strong ability to interpret engineering scoping packages and convert them into complete field documentation
• Must be willing to spend 100% of working hours in the field
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel to various locations across the state
• Familiarity with mobile data capture tools such as IQGEO is preferred
• Strong attention to detail time management and communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and deliver daily updates without supervision
