  • Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)

  • Schedule: Day Shift 5x8-Hour (07:00 15:00) includes one weekend shift per week

  • Start Date: 07/14/2025

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their Inpatient Rehab team. The therapist will work a full-time schedule with rotating weekends providing functional assessments and therapies to adult rehab patients with neurological orthopedic and complex medical needs. First-time travelers and clinicians with pending licenses are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat patients requiring occupational therapy within an inpatient rehab setting

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans and goals

  • Focus on rehabilitation techniques related to ADLs adaptive equipment use and community reintegration

  • Perform discharge planning home assessments and caregiver training

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab teams to ensure safe transitions of care

  • Float to similar rehab/therapy units as needed

  • Document evaluations treatments and progress notes in accordance with facility standards

Key Requirements:
  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in an inpatient rehab or acute care setting

  • First-Time Travelers Accepted: Yes

  • Pending License Accepted: Yes (must be active before start)

  • Weekend Requirement: Yes one regular weekend shift per week

  • Floating Requirement: Yes may float between therapy/rehab units

  • On-Call Requirement: No

  • Block Scheduling: No

  • Expected Productivity: 6 patients per 8-hour shift

  • Guaranteed Hours: Facility may cancel up to once per 2-week pay period

  • 48-Hour Schedule Approved: No

Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Masters or Doctorate preferred)

  • Experience: At least 1 year of OT experience in adult inpatient or rehab environments

  • License/Certifications:

    • Required: Active state OT license BLS

    • Preferred: Previous experience in acute care or outpatient rehab settings

  • Functional Capacity Evaluation*

  • Adaptive Equipment Assessments (Adult/Pediatric)*

Therapies & Modalities:
  • Myofascial Release*

  • Feeding Techniques*

Professional Knowledge:
  • Home Exercise Program development*

  • Patient/Family Education*

  • Injury Prevention & Safety Education*
