Job Description
Per Diem Pharmacist PTO Coverage
Location: Athena Medtech (Retail Pharmacy Settings)
Schedule: As needed based on PTO coverage
Hours of Operation: Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $65.00 $70.00 per hour
Weekends & Holidays: All pharmacies closed on weekends and most major holidays
Athena Medtech is seeking a reliable and flexible Per Diem Pharmacist to provide coverage during Paid Time Off (PTO) periods. This position is ideal for both new pharmacy graduates and experienced pharmacists looking for part-time flexible opportunities in a professional retail setting.
Key Responsibilities:-
Accurately review and dispense prescriptions in accordance with legal and clinical guidelines

Provide professional consultation to patients and healthcare providers regarding medication use and potential interactions

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies

Oversee daily pharmacy operations when needed including supervising pharmacy technicians

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure safe medication storage and handling

Support patient-focused services including medication therapy management and 340B program participation where applicable

Active pharmacist license in the state of practice

Strong communication and customer service skills

BLS certification (if applicable for state requirements)

4 5 years of retail pharmacy experience

2 years of pharmacy management experience in a retail setting

Experience working within a 340B pharmacy (preferred not required)
