Rate: $55/hr (All-Inclusive)
Overtime: After 40 hours/week OT Rate: Regular $7/hr
Call-Back Minimum: 2 hours Rate: Regular $7/hr
Holiday Rate: Regular $7/hr
Reporting to the Director of Nursing (DON) the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) works collaboratively with physicians staff residents families and other departments to deliver high-quality individualized nursing care in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.
All nursing staff are required to wear Caribbean Blue scrubs as part of the dress code.
Qualifications:Active California LVN license
Current BLS (CPR) certification
Strong physical and mental health; able to walk bend lift and perform manual care duties
Emotionally resilient and able to work with patients who may be confused or verbally/physically abusive
Adaptable dependable with excellent attendance
Effective communicator in English (verbal and written)
Strong assessment skills and good judgment in emergencies
Team player respectful and discreet with sensitive information
Eager for continuous learning and professional development
Above-average interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
Maintain professionalism on and off duty as a representative of the facility
Foster respectful positive relationships with patients families and coworkers
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
Complete tasks and documentation accurately and promptly
Use Microsoft Office for data entry organization and reporting
Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and leadership
Maintain and provide organized records upon request
Answer phones and assist visitors in a courteous professional manner
Conduct timely and thorough patient assessments
Notify Charge Nurse and MD of abnormal findings
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Administer treatments and medications per physician orders and facility protocols
Provide patient and family education
Document care progress and outcomes accurately and in real time
Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and initiate resuscitation protocols when needed
Assist with wound care IVs EKGs blood draws and maintaining unit supplies
Coordinate patient transfers and specimen collections
Support CNAs and ensure assigned care is completed and documented
Maintain safety infection control and patient confidentiality standards
Participate in staff training meetings and continuing education
Adhere to facility dress code and wear identification badge
Meet annual education and evaluation requirements
Maintain compliance with all regulatory and facility policies
Exhibit and support the mission goals and ethical standards of the facility
May be required to work beyond normal hours or assist in other roles as needed
Interaction with staff residents families and regulatory agencies
Must demonstrate flexibility integrity and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
