Job Title: Medical Technologist (MT/MLT) & Phlebotomist Multiple Shifts
Job Type: Contract (Full-time)
Location: Montgomery AL
Shifts Available:
- Day Shift: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- Second Shift: 3:30 PM 12:00 AM
- Third Shift: 12:00 AM 8:30 AM
- Rotating Weekends / 7-on-7-off schedule available
- Hours Per Week: 40
Position Summary:
We are hiring Medical Technologists (MT/MLT) and Phlebotomists for full-time contract roles in a high-standard healthcare setting. Candidates with prior experience in government healthcare environments may be rated more favorably. Selected individuals must be prepared to start immediately upon contract award.
Medical Technologist (MT/MLT) Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as MT or MLT
- Certification required: ASCP or AMT (MT MLS or CLS)
- Bachelors degree in Medical Technology Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
- Completion of a clinical practice program
- Must possess all current licenses and permits as required by federal and state law
- Strong proficiency in clinical laboratory procedures including specimen testing quality assurance and accessioning
Phlebotomist Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of current experience in a phlebotomy role
- Must be proficient in venipuncture and specimen collection procedures
- Skilled in accurate patient identification and accessioning of all specimen types
- Expected to maintain professionalism and compassion while serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
- Manual dexterity attention to detail and adherence to safety standards required
- Will be supervised and trained by the lead Phlebotomy Supervisor
Responsibilities:
Medical Technologist:
- Conduct laboratory testing and analysis in areas such as hematology microbiology and chemistry
- Ensure quality control and compliance with medical protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation and support laboratory workflow
Phlebotomist:
- Perform blood draws following strict identification protocols
- Accession and process all types of laboratory specimens
- Provide high-quality service in a clinical setting
- Maintain excellent relationships with the care team and adhere to facility policies
