COBOL Programmer
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Quincy MA
Hybrid 3 days onsite per week
Position Summary:
Looking for a Lead/Senior Software Engineer responsible for the analysis design code testing and documentation of a major project combining the expertise of banking knowledge with the importance of conceptualizing the programs to be developed based on specifications.
Core Requirements/Technical Skills:
- Operating System: LINUX UNIX
- Languages: Cobol JCLs
- Scripting language: Shell Script PowerShell
- DB: Oracle
- Microfocus Eclipse
Responsibility Statements
- Analyze the requirements
- Design the better solution aligned as the core banking
- Create processes/programs to cover the needs and requirements in the analysis phase
- Unit test aligned with the better practices of Santander Bank and do the revisions to eliminate errors
- Design and implement tests that will help in the end-to-end quality of major deliverables. Analyze testing results and report issues found
- Review test results with the team complete final program documentation
- Prepare the whole documentation to follow the change management process to deploy the processes/programs in production environment
- Participate in the post-implementation of production processes/programs ensuring the delivery of the information required for the project
- Iterate as many times as the Bank requires according to the needs of the project to guarantee the delivery of the information
