Job Summary:
This Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position requires providing patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a tertiary care hospital setting. The LPN will manage their own patient assignments utilizing support from the RN team. Experience in a hospital setting within the last two years is required. The role demands strong clinical skills effective communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Managing assigned patient caseload with RN support.
- Providing appropriate nursing care as directed by the RN.
- Gathering and reporting patient data.
- Carrying out RN orders and performing therapeutic procedures.
- Performing patient assessments.
- Administering medications.
- Participating in treatment planning.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current LPN license in New York.
- Minimum of one year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience (preferred but not required).
- Current BLS certification.
- Hospital experience within the last two years.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Experience with ventilators tracheostomies and PICC lines.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.
Special Considerations:
- Night shift or day/night rotation available.
- 3 twelve-hour shifts or 4 twelve-hour shifts per week.
- Tertiary care hospital environment.
