Job Description

Job Summary:

This temporary-to-permanent position is for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in an endocrinology practice in Asheville North Carolina. The CMA will provide essential clinical support including taking vital signs processing specimens and rooming patients. Experience in diabetes care is preferred. The role requires a minimum of one year of experience and involves a standard Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends or call requirements.

Location: Asheville North Carolina United States

Responsibilities:

- Taking vital signs (blood pressure respirations temperature pulse).
- Labeling specimens (urine UA/clean catch).
- Rooming patients.
- Assisting with other clinical duties as needed within the scope of practice of a CMA.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Minimum one year experience as a CMA.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to take vital signs label specimens and room patients.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience in an adult outpatient clinic or private physicians office.
- Experience in an endocrinology practice particularly with diabetes care and treatment.

Special Considerations:

- Temporary-to-permanent position.
- No on-site work after booking is allowed. No call-offs or additional return-to-office time is allowed.
- Possible floating to other nearby clinics (within 15 minutes).
- Must provide own stethoscope.

Scheduling:

- 40 hours per week.
- 8-hour days 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday (half-day on Fridays).
- No weekends or on-call requirements.
- Scheduling based on clinic needs.
