Job Summary:
This Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position requires independent patient assignment management with RN support within a tertiary care hospital setting. The role necessitates recent hospital experience and involves providing direct patient care following established protocols and collaborating with the nursing team. Shift work including nights and rotating days/nights is expected.

Location: Rochester New York United States
Responsibilities:
- Managing assigned patient load with RN support.
- Providing direct patient care according to established protocols.
- Collaborating effectively with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals.
- Performing clinical assessments administering medications and contributing to treatment planning as directed by an RN.
- Charting patient information in Epic.
- Following hospital policies and procedures.
- Providing direct patient care according to established protocols.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current LPN/LVN license in New York State.
- Minimum of one year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience (preferred not required).
- Current BLS certification.
- Hospital experience within the last two years.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Proficiency with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.

Special Considerations:
- Employment in a tertiary care hospital.
- Every other weekend (EOW) schedule.
- Shift options: 3 twelve-hour shifts or 4 twelve-hour shifts.
- Rotating day/night shifts.
