Job Summary:
This Respiratory Therapist position requires floating between various units including the floor ER and responding to codes and rapid responses. The role involves providing respiratory care to patients in a short-term acute care Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. Experience in floor care and emergency response is essential. The position requires working weekends every other weekend on a block schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Providing respiratory care to patients across various units (floor ER).
- Responding to codes and rapid responses.
- Performing patient assessments and treatments.
- Maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Documenting patient care and treatment.
- Adhering to hospital protocols and safety procedures.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in Washington State.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience in floor care and emergency response.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in medical equipment and procedures.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience in a Level II Trauma Center or Pediatric Trauma Center.
- Experience with specific respiratory treatments and procedures (e.g. vents/trachs/PICC lines).
Special Considerations:
- The position requires working weekends every other weekend.
- The work schedule is based on a block schedule.
- Floating between units is a requirement of the role.
- Code response and rapid response duties are included.
- 48-hour shifts are not approved.
