Job Description
in handling engineering efforts for Aero structure Assemblies (Sheet metal Machining Assemblies and Tooling)
Integrating engineering team efforts with program and production priorities
Experience in Detail parts and Assembly tooling design/manufacturing (Material selection Design & costing)
Experience in handling Major Assembly tooling manufacturing and jig setting for Aero structutre programs
Daily/weekly/Monthly review of process production and monthly plans.
Should have experience of working on SAP S4 HANA AUTO CAD and CATIA
Managing assembly tooling Engineering Tooling Production Tooling Storage and reporting to Department Head team progress against deliverables timelines.
b) Responsible for planning deliveries of ICY Jigs.
c) Study of manufacturing process sheets and customer drawings to determine tooling requirements for Assembly shop.
d) Planning & Procurement of Jigs & Platforms.
e) Estimation and Costing to decide target price for all jigs as per project NRE
f) Preparation of layout which includes Assembly jigs & platform.
g) Support Vendor selection & development and evaluation of new vendors.
h) Vendor interaction at various stages of jig manufacturing to extend technical assistance and guidance to get the desired quality of tool with reduced manufacturing cost. i) Liaison with customer for approval of tool design.
j) Responsible for new jig try outs and validation which includes tool assembly.
k) Coordinating with internal departments at various stages of project execution to provide necessary technical assistance through cross functional team (CFT) reviews
Knowledge of GD& T and tolerance of sheet metal components and Assembly.
Configuration Management and Accuracy of documentation of overall process and compliance
PFMEA APQP
AS9100 knowledge & QMS Audits preparation
Knowledge and Critical skills
Assembly Processes.
Assembly tooling requirements of OEMs Sheet Metal forming processes including but not limited to Rubber Hydro-forming and Stretch forming.
ProE Wildfire 4.0
AutoCAD and CATIA V5R16.
Aerospace Component & Assembly tooling requirements
Knowledge on Tooling process AS9000 standards & Aerospace Approvals
