Job Description
- Use assessments and data to inform instruction and drive student achievement.
- Modify instruction and classroom strategies to meet a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Track and report student progress aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Create and implement effective IEPs tailored to individual student strengths and challenges.
- Collaborate with families teachers and school teams to foster academic and behavioral success.
- Cultivate an inclusive student-centered classroom where every learner feels supported and valued.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university (master s degree preferred).
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher or in a similar setting preferably supporting early childhood learners.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement (alternative credentials will not be accepted).
