  • 38 hours per week

  • Location: Orange or other regional NSW locations considered
  • Administration & Clerical Grade 8 Salary from $145378.00 plus super and leave loading

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manager Board Secretariat to provide high-level strategic advice and administrative services to the LLS Board its sub-committees and the CEO LLS. This role will include overseeing governance managing communications leading LLS Board projects and providing critical support to ensure the efficient operations of the LLS Board and the Finance Audit and Risk Committee (FRAC) to enable well-informed decision-making that is commensurate with the legislative instruments and Government processes relevant to the agency.

We are looking for an individual who can:

  • Provide high-level secretariat advisory and support services to enable the Board and the FRAC to fulfil its functions as outlined in the Local Land Services Act and the Local Land Services Regulation.
  • Prepare manage and review high level communications and correspondence including relevant board papers minutes actions reports (including an annual evaluation report) and submissions to ensure the comprehensiveness readability accuracy and timeliness of the information.
  • Manage the development and review of corporate governance materials such as the Board Workplan compliance obligations charters manuals policies and procedures along with their regular review as well as ensuring the Agencys compliance with policy requirements relating to the FRAC.
  • Advise and support the Board Chair and CEO in decision-making as requested.
  • Support Board members and coordinate with stakeholders and the Executive Team to ensure timely effective communication on Board matters.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulatory and reporting requirements by developing reviewing evaluating and continuously improving the governance framework.
  • Act as a key point of contact for advice related to Board governance ethical behaviour and compliance.
  • Manage the budget of the Board and the FRAC
  • Facilitate a standardised environment for the LLS Board and Local boards

About You

To be successful in this role our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Proven experience in board support governance and project and budget management in a complex environment.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work under pressure.
