Watch this video to learn more about our organization SCOT: Sourcing Systems (OSS) at Amazon is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join our team. As a BIE in this role you will be a key contributor to enhancing the Inbound efficiency and accurate predictions of our supply chain sourcing inbound operations through business intelligence. Our current focus is on improving overall visibility that Amazon has into incoming inbound freight through improving signal quality as well as signal aggregation. This allows us to orchestrate inbound freight through the supply chain and improve overall inbound lead times. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven insights that optimize inbound signals scheduling and overall supply chain performance.
Key job responsibilities Design develop and maintain complex data models and ETL pipelines to support sourcing analytics Create and optimize SQL queries for large-scale data analysis Build interactive dashboards and visualizations Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions Implement data quality controls and monitoring systems Develop automated reporting solutions and self-service analytics capabilities Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data architecture and performance

- 2 years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift Oracle NoSQL etc. experience - Experience with data visualization using Tableau Quicksight or similar tools - Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel Tableau QuickSight MicroStrategy PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test Chi-squared)
- Masters degree or Advanced technical degree - Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design - Experience with statistical analysis co-relation analysis - Experience with scripting language (e.g. Python Java or R)
