Job Description
Wheaton Bible Church (WBC) is a dynamic thriving multiethnic church community seeking to live out our mission to Love God Love One Another Love our Neighbors and Love the Nations in the Chicago suburbs and globally with our 90 sent missionaries and indigenous partners. We currently hold worship services in both English and Spanish while providing space care and leadership coaching for 5 additional ethnic language fellowship groups. Additionally we serve our local community through West Chicagos largest social service provider Puente de Pueblo by providing case management services for families adult literacy programming and after-school programming for children and youth.
The Pastor of Mens Ministry & Adult Team Lead will lead in such a way that the ministries hes leadingsupport the Purpose Values and Mission of Wheaton Bible Church Love God Love One Another Love our Neighbors and Love the Nations. For the Adult Ministries Team members he will play the role of player/coach cultivating culture and providing vision and direction to the Adult Ministries. For the Mens Ministry he will give direction to all aspects of ministry including the development and execution of an annual ministry plan bible study groups mens ministry enhancement events leadership recruitment and development teacher development and curriculum identification and development. He will also serve as part of the Adult Ministry Team focused on holistic Discipleship of adults and serve with an 80/20 Mindset (80% Ministry specific focus / 20% joint focus on Adult Discipleship).

- Pursue professional personal and spiritual development.
- Be committed to recognizing and cultivating the command of disciple making.
- Display enthusiasm and passion for the church.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of pastoral ministry experience preferably in a large church.
- At least five years ministry experience in Mens Ministry in a large church.
- Ordained as a Pastor preferred or willingness to go through ordination process
- Masters degree in Bible/Theology or a Master of Divinity preferred.
- Possess the following values:

- Collaboratoroverarching church unity and alignment vs ministry success.
- Innovatorability to assess and understand how to best minister within our culture and context while taking faith-filled risks.
- Possess the following gifting:
- Demonstrates Spiritual gifts of leadership shepherding preaching teaching and discipleship.
- Demonstrates active disciple making.
- Recruiting training overseeing and developing lay leaders.
- Supervision leadership and/or administration of staff and lay leader teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and engaging speaking skills.
- Proven organizational skills and strengths in goal setting management and reporting.
- Alignment with and commitment to assisting the ministries of the church in fulfilling our mission vision and values.
- Acceptance and agreement with WBC Statement of Doctrine and Faith and WBC Statement of Christian Lifestyle.
- Become an active member and participant in the life of WBC.
Status: Full-Time Exempt
