SENIOR FINANCIAL OFFICER MIT Mission Innovation X (MIx) to oversee the full scope of financial operations for MIx a program focused on bridging commercial and defense innovation; responsibilities include comprehensive pre- and post-award sponsored research management (proposal development budgeting monthly projections reconciliation and closeout); to advise PIs project leads and staff on all aspects of research administration while ensuring compliance with MIT sponsor and federal policies; to lead special projects executing change management strategies and conducting strategic financial analyses in partnership with the Executive Director; and will recommend and implement financial systems policy updates and operational improvements.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelors degree and a minimum five years experience in accounting or finance including at least one year in a supervisory role; proficiency in budget development financial reporting and recordkeeping; strong analytical forecasting and problem-solving abilities; excellent attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; exceptional communication and customer service skills; proficiency with Excel and enterprise systems; and ability to work independently and collaboratively exercise discretion and learn new systems quickly. PREFERRED: experience with SAP BrioQuery Kuali Coeus and Cognos; and financial experience in an academic research setting and MIT experience. Job #25021-9
