Position: Supervisor of Reading English and Language Arts(Job Description)
Location:District Wide
Effective Date:Immediately
Job Summary:
To improve academic achievement for all district students by providing leadership and supervision of the K-12 staff and programs for Reading English & Language Arts (RELA) English Language Development curriculum development assessment data analysis program evaluation intervention and professional development aligned to District goals and philosophy. The Supervisor is expected to demonstrate expertise in the content area as well as the ability to plan for and promote school improvement efforts.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree Valid PA Teaching Certification in the Discipline (English 7-12 or Reading K-12) and Masters Degree Valid PA K-12 Administrative or Supervisory Certification required.
- 5-7 years of classroom teaching experience required. 1-2 years of Administrative experience preferred.
