Team Lead / Senior Engineer - Mechanical

Role description:

This role is part of Arcadis Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3000 talented individuals working in India Romania and Philippines in partnership with Arcadis offices GEC brings key capabilities and capacity to support our clients seamlessly around the world. Role accountabilities:

Your role will include but is not limited to:

1. Good understanding of buildings HVAC systems design of heating ventilation and air conditioning equipment selection capabilities. (AHU ventilators chiller boilers heat exchangers etc.).
2. You should be able to design options for a project prepare technical and commercial details to present to a client.
3. Layouts design calculations 2D/3D schematic and detailed drawings.
4. Build proficiency in REVIT and BIM checking software as well as other software used in calculations.
5. Ability to plan organize and execute HVAC projects effectively. This includes managing budgets coordinating with other disciplines and overseeing the work of junior engineers or technicians.
6. Estimating necessary budget resource list and schedule for the entire HVAC scope of the project.
7. Understanding of standards and codes of HVAC.
8. Handle client meetings
9. Ensure that HVAC designs meet safety and environmental regulations sustainability and energy efficiencies regulations following industry standards and guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
• Strong knowledge of design software (e.g. AutoCAD) and calculation software (HAP Trane Trace etc.).
• Minimum of 5 year experience in HVAC engineering is required.
• Strong English language skills.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written are important for collaborating with clients architects project managers and other stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Good understanding of energy and sustainability regulations and industry best practices.
• Good planning organizational and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
• Implementation of quality procedure to ensure a good design deliverable.

Nice to have

• Masters degree in mechanical engineering or building services.
• Expertise in energy efficiency sustainability is appreciated.
• Expertise in indoor air quality is appreciated.
• Highly knowledgeable of BREEM LEED and other certifying organizations is appreciated.
• Affiliation to professional organizations.
