Junior Service Technician / Engineer

Location: Rushden-based with UK-wide travel

Full-time Permanent

Salary: Competitive based on experience

Are you currently completing your Level 3 in Engineering or a related subject and looking to kickstart a long-term career with a company that will invest in your future

This is not just a job its a career path. The company is passionate about developing new talent and will fully support your ongoing college attendance providing on-the-job training alongside experienced engineers and structured exposure to the latest in machinery and remote diagnostics.

Duties

This will eventually move to a field-based position supporting the installation maintenance and repair of specialist machinery across the UK. Youll be working with a team of experienced engineers to learn the ropes gaining invaluable exposure across electrical mechanical and hydraulic systems.

  • Assisting in the repair and maintenance of advanced manufacturing machinery
  • Shadowing experienced service engineers during site visits and installations
  • Developing diagnostic and fault-finding skills across electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Supporting customers and learning how to deliver outstanding technical service
  • Managing parts and tooling with support from a dedicated service desk
  • Attending college (where applicable) to complete your formal qualifications

The Candidate

  • Is completing or has recently completed a Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Electrical Mechanical Maintenance etc.)
  • Has a genuine interest in engineering and fixing things
  • Is keen to learn and grow within a structured supportive environment
  • Enjoys a mix of workshop-based and hands-on field work
  • Is confident enough to work with customers once trained
  • Has a full UK driving lisence (or is working towards it)
  • Can travel across the UK and is open to occasional overnight stays
