Job Description

Reporting to the Manager HCM & Analytics this position supports core HR and Payroll functions while transforming data into meaningful narratives that inform decision-making for senior leaders while enhancing the overall employee experience. As a key member of the HCM team this role is responsible for supporting the ongoing administration optimization and reporting of UKG Pro and to help drive workforce insights through analytics and business intelligence tools.

Major Responsibilities

  • Maintain system configuration troubleshoot issues and work with internal stakeholders and UKG support to resolve technical problems
  • Customize system settings fields business rules security roles workflows and notifications to optimize performance and user experience
  • Monitor and manage data flows and integrations between UKG and other systems (e.g. payroll benefits finance)
  • Support payroll processing activities to ensure accuracy and timely payroll operations
  • Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports using IBM Cognos
  • Interpret complex datasets to tell compelling stories that drive workforce planning engagement strategies and organizational change
  • Deliver high-quality insights for HR leaders and senior management across key areas such as headcount turnover DEI engagement and compensation trends
  • Partner with HR and Legal Talent stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities process redesigns policy implementations system upgrades and new module rollouts within UKG pro
  • Document business requirements perform testing and support training for new functionality
  • Act as a key point of contact for UKG-related user questions and support requests
  • Serve as an escalation point for more complex system-related issues that require advanced expertise beyond the scope of the HCM Coordinator
  • Develop and maintain user guides SOPs and training materials
  • Provide hands-on training for HR and Legal Talent team members and business users on UKG modules and BI reporting tools
  • Support reporting and documentation needs for audits and compliance reviews
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

The position requires a post-secondary education in Human Resources Business Administration Information Systems or a related field. A minimum 3 years related (ideally UKG/UltiPro) experience including demonstrated HCM/HRIS maintenance experience; including employee data payroll and benefits learning talent management etc. Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is considered an asset.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as IBM Cognos (UKG People Analytics) Power BI or Tableau
  • Demonstrated experience in data storytelling translating complex datasets into actionable insights for HR and leadership team
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables formulas and data visualizations
  • Familiarity with system integrations data mapping and HR data structures
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical data to non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a hybrid fast-paced work environment
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
