Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 am -5:00 pm with some flexibility

Since 1971 the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided the highest quality of behavioral health services to residents of the cities of Hampton and Newport News Virginia offering a comprehensive array of programs for both children and adults living with mental illness developmental disabilities and/or substance use disorders.
The Clinical Services Administrator for Residential Crisis Services at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board is a pivotal leadership position overseeing multiple clinical programs at the newly developed BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center. Named in honor of Sheriff B.J. Roberts-Hamptons first African American sheriff a longtime public servant former H-NNCSB board member and a fierce advocate for equitable access to behavioral health centers is a landmark in community-based recovery. Your leadership will carry forward his legacy of advocacy compassion and innovation in behavioral health.
This role is essential in ensuring that services such as the Crisis Stabilization Unit 23-Hour Observation Ambulatory Detoxification and the CIT Assessment Center are not only accessible and efficient but also clinically excellent and deeply responsive to community needs. You will engage in strategic planning and day-to-day oversight while supervising a multidisciplinary team and working closely with program managers clinicians and regional partners. Youll guide clinical quality maintain licensure and accreditation standards and identify opportunities for expanding and enhancing services in line with evolving needs. This position allows you to influence both lives and systems-offering hope healing and care to some of the regions most vulnerable residents.
To excel as a Clinical Services Administrator for Residential Crisis Services at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board candidates must possess a valid Virginia license as an LCSW LPC or LCP along with extensive experience in behavioral health management. Strong leadership skills are crucial enabling effective oversight of multidisciplinary teams and ensuring operational efficiency within clinical programs. A deep understanding of trauma-informed care and regulatory compliance is essential to maintain service quality and adherence to standards from Medicaid DBHDS CARF and other regulatory bodies. Additionally adeptness in financial management and program development will aid in successful budget oversight and implementation of new services that address community needs.
Proficiency with related software and tools is necessary for managing clinical operations effectively. A valid Virginia Drivers License with an acceptable driving record is also required to facilitate community engagement and collaboration with regional partners.
