Job Purpose: Reporting to the EMCO Lead the EM Partnerships & Alliances Lead will lead dual responsibilities of Business Development & Sales Intermediaries Management serving one single purpose: Driving business and profitability growth by actively managing external partnerships within Pfizer Emerging Markets including the 3 subregions LATAM MERA and EM Asia and the elevated markets.
- On the Business Development responsibility EMPA Lead will be actively pursuing BD opportunities to establish partnerships for Pfizers non-core portfolio. Acting as an SME for the Emerging Markets region. EMPA Lead will work with BAI and regional & local commercial and finance teams to identify candidate products and actively develop an external network to find partners.
- On the Sales Intermediaries front will ensure effective efficient and compliant management of sales intermediaries including third parties such as distributors wholesalers commercial agents sales representatives.
- In addition to these responsibilities will take the lead on ad-hoc projects such as top-down BD SI and GTM optimization initiatives.
- For both roles the scope will be across region and also in-country. The ways of working will be co-creating and implementing consistent one EM strategies working closely with the Regional External Partnerships & Alliances Leads(LATAMMERA and EM Asia) Country Managers and Commercial Leads.
Main Responsibilities on BD:
- Evaluate develop and implement business development strategies to achieve business goals and expand market share within the region.
- Work closely with in-market commercial teams to assess business development deals.
- Responsible for ensuring the appropriate approval for regional / global governance. This includes coordinating with cross-functional teams and overseeing the implementation of policies & procedures to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Lead cross-functionally with commercial marketing finance BAI legal and compliance teams to support business development initiatives.
- Lead direct day-to-day program planning implementation oversight and later progress tracking and metrics reporting for largest and complex deals.
Main Responsibilities: Sales Intermediaries (SI)
- Analyze & enhance the current & potential SI business model in coordination with the relevant in-market teams and co-create a one Region framework for the evaluation selection monitoring performance management and consolidation of SIs in close partnership with Country Commercial Leads.
- Develop execute & follow-up Sales Intermediaries Governance. Main responsible for leading SI Governance.
- Develop and manage the process of evaluating the performance of SI ensuring alignment with company objectives compliance with contractual agreements and address any deficiencies.
- Conduct regular operational performance monitoring of sales intermediaries including key performance indicators (KPIs) and periodic evaluations.

- Take an active compliance approach to Strategic Partnerships Management
- Work with Compliance to build regional & local capabilities by providing the necessary guidance tools training & coaching
- Ensure compliance of regulations and Pfizer policies at all levels of the organization.
- Champion process simplification speed complemented with compliant behaviors
- Assess and document FMV of any potential deals
- Conduct due diligence on potential partners and opportunities assessing both scientific validity commercial viabilityreputational risk potential conflicts of interest antitrust and labor laws etc)

Experience and Knowledge:
- 5-10 years of direct commercial experience with preference (Country Manager Cluster Lead Regional or Country category roles experience)
- Experience in working with third-parties
- Experience and executive level presence negotiating with Company CEOs CFOs and Heads of Business Development
- Experience in bidding and contracting processes is highly desirable.
- Minimum bachelors degree in business finance economics or a related field; a masters degree is a plus.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; Spanish is a plus.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $219800.00 to $366400.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
