Job Description
Functional Job Duties:
- Competent use of hand bench and machine operations to perform deburring filing grinding and polishing on machined parts.
- Understanding of and ability to utilize a tape measure squaring tools electronic level calipers and micrometers.
- Understand tolerances for parts.
- Be able to read blueprints and understand tolerances for parts.
- Ability to operate machines at peak performance and know how to increase output.
- Accuracy with alignment dimensional and general inspection requirements. Perform first article inspections and spot inspections of parts to maintain quality.
- Interpretations of work orders blueprints and bills of materials. Complete and maintain paperwork.
- Configure bend allowances for pipe and tubing (stainless aluminum and carbon steel).
- Be able to prioritize jobs according to the schedule and willing to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing setting operations using horizontal automatic band saws threading machines and various hand tools.
- Prior fabrication experience.
- Have the ability to do basic math and read a tape measure and various other measuring devices .
Mental Requirements:
- Must possess strong leadership analytical thinking effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons inside and outside of the company.
- Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements.
- Must be able to work under stress.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities and maintain a heavy workflow.
- Must be able to process paperwork effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to go up and down stairs.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to do unaccompanied travel.
- Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing and apply appropriate safety equipment when required.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties.
