Mayo Clinic Florida is seeking a dedicated and passionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a strong interest in joining our Orthopedic Surgery Trauma Service team. This role involves direct support for trauma service with daily trauma meetings and inpatient care starting at 6 AM. Responsibilities include independent consults hospital follow-ups preoperative and postoperative care fracture care and independent procedure visits in the clinic. Surgical-assist is required and future Emergency Department Call coverage may be necessary. Collaborate with student resident and fellow trainees.
Key Responsibilities:
During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview a question will appear on your screen and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP ANP or ACNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications:
Active BLS ACLS and RN First Assist certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required
