Job Description

SYSCOMs seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join our clients team and contribute to the continuous improvement of their ServiceNow platform ensuring it meets the evolving needs of their organization and enhances their service delivery capabilities.
Work Location & Hours: Hybrid work location with 60% onsite time in Arlington VA 22201. Note this is a part time position 20 hours per week.
Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and configure ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript Jelly Web Services MYSQL XML HTML and CSS.
- Customize and configure out-of-the-box workflows and create/maintain custom workflows.
- Integrate ServiceNow applications with third-party systems/applications via APIs.
- Perform application maintenance manage support for incidents related to ServiceNow applications and contribute to ServiceNow software releases by delivering configuration tasks and features.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to capture business and user requirements and develop elegant solutions that meet those needs.
- Provide input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals.
- Prepare reports on analyses and system performance issues and determine performance enhancements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems Information Technology or a related field is desired. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow data model and relationships.
- Significant experience in ServiceNow test development and production environments.
- Significant experience capturing user stories working through a ServiceNow backlog and delivering to meet user requirements.
- Experience with Configuration Management (CMDB) LDAP integration and custom scripting.
- Minimum of three years experience developing on the ServiceNow platform including the creation and/or customization of core applications such as Incident Problem Change Service Request Service Catalog and Hardware Asset Management.
- Significant experience developing workflows in Workflow Editor and Flow Designer.
- Proficient with custom web services custom notifications assessments and custom applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Service Now System Administration and/or Application Developer certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle MS SQL MySQL AWS Redshift).
- ITIL ITSM or other relevant certifications.
