THIS POSITION IS A GRANT-FUNDED (TERM-FUNDED) POSITION CURRENTLY FUNDED THROUGH JANUARY 1 2026. Position is Open Until Filled.
You will design manage and optimize technology and processes to streamline IT operations and infrastructure ensuring stability and innovation in remote locations. As a self-starter and problem solver who enjoys traveling to rural communities you will work under limited supervision lead initiatives and ensure resilience to minimize downtime. Youll identify and implement solutions tailored to the unique needs of these communities ensuring compliance with security policies and enhancing the overall user experience. Cross-collaboration with other IT functional teams will be essential for developing comprehensive solutions and improving service delivery. Additionally you will audit the current technology landscape and present the desired future state of these campuses helping to shape the strategic direction for IT services.

Bachelors degree in a relevant field (i.e. Information Technology or other related field) and 4 years experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Industry-standard certifications or academic courses in relevant fields are highly

Possess and maintain a valid drivers license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated practical experience supporting computing devices.
Position Details:
This position is located onsite on the Troth Yeddha campus in Fairbanks Alaska. This is a grant-fundedthrough January 1 2026 (term-funded) full-time exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary andfull employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options annual leave 12 paid holidays per year tuition waivers for employees and family members and affordable medical dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on theUA Staff Salary Schedule Grade 81 based on education and experience.
