We believe every member on our team enriches our diversity by exposing us to a broad range of ways to understand and engage with the world identify challenges and to discover design and deliver solutions.The AIM/ATTAIN Coach provides support for teachers in the AIM/ATTAIN substantially separate programs (grades K-8) and works collaboratively with special education staff and administrators to ensure consistent and comprehensive programming for students with severe needs who require highly specialized support in accordance with the Individualized Education Program (IEP). The Coach will work directly with teachers to provide instructional modeling in classrooms collaborative and one-on-one support and facilitate vertical alignment of modified content across grade levels. The Coach will focus on enhancing teachers ability to provide instruction that is data-driven aligned to IEP goals and based on modification of grade level standards. The Coach will also work with administrators and teachers to collect and analyze data and develop/maintain program books in response to student needs. The Coach will be an integral part of planning professional development activities in accordance with program needs. This is a district-wide position that requires travel between DUTIES Develop individualized DDT program booksSupport teachers in collection review analysis and use of data related to student progressSupport development of IEP goalsSupport completion of MCAS-Alt and use of specific assessment tools (ie VB-MAPP)Complete observations within classrooms and provide direct feedback to teachers and other staff Assist teachers in aligning instruction with individual student profile including academics social skills behavior and communicationAssist teachers in developing and creating instructional materialsAssist teachers with modification of curriculum based on entry pointsProvide consultation regarding individual student needs to program staff (teachers paras BCBA related service providers)Attend monthly program consult meetings and other meetings as neededImplement systems and procedures that increase vertical alignment of programmingProvide modeling and training to teachers and staff Provide direct student instruction and support when neededRespond flexibility to the changing needs of the programProvide support with implementation of Discrete Trial Teaching and other ABA methodologyWork effectively and maintain a professional rapport with teachers students and other staff other duties as assigned by the Administrator of Special Education and SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to communicate in both oral and written formats to a variety of people including students other professionals and school staff. Ability to use a computer to prepare documents and maintain to work in a team interpersonal understanding of the needs of a severe needs population and extensive experience working directly with students grades K-8 with ASD.
