Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Fire Project Technician to join our security business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Service Troubleshoot & program burglar alarms fire alarms closed circuit television & access control systems
- Ensure equipment is functional and operational
- Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair
- Replace system components as assigned; panels audible/visual alarms etc.
- Provide technical support to customers including remote phone diagnosis and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers
- Interact professionally with customers
- Coordinate with Manager and dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently
- Inform dispatcher and or manager the status of service to take appropriate action
- Perform test and inspect fire alarm systems
- Maintains assigned vehicle tools and equipment
Basic Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of national and local alarm codes including NFPA 72 NEC & Florida Building Code
- Must be able to demonstrate responsibility in being on time regular consistent work attendance good communication and completing all necessary field documentation as needed
- The ability to carry and climb step/extension ladders where needed and lift objects up to 50 pounds when needed
- HS Diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience with servicing fire alarm systems or NICET II
- Valid Driver Licenses and acceptable driving record
- Must be able to demonstrate basic computer/tablet skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- NICET Certification
- Manufacturer certifications preferred (ex. Siemens Notifier Honeywell Bosch)
- FASA/BASA
- 3 years of Burglar Alarm Service Experience
- 3 years of CCTV/ IP-CCTV Service Experience
- 3 years of Access Control Service Experience
