Position Summary
The Executive Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and executive support to the Regional Associate Dean and other faculty leaders on the Asheville Campus including calendar and email management event planning and office operations. This role oversees daily administrative functions ensures timely and high-quality follow-up on assignments and commitments and manages complex scheduling and travel arrangements. Serving as a key point of contact the Executive Assistant handles confidential information triages inquiries and independently resolves issues as authorized. The position also includes front desk and office management responsibilities such as answering phones maintaining common areas managing supplies and equipment and supporting campus events. All duties must be carried out with professionalism attention to detail and adaptability to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment. The Executive Assistant oversees the weekly calendar for courses in the Doctor of Pharmacy program and serves as a proctor for tests and quizzes. Effective communication skills are required.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to analyze and interpret policies and guidelines as well as detailed knowledge of administrative office work processes. The incumbent must be skillful in organizing planning and managing administrative activities; be able to multitask in a demanding and constantly changing environment. This position involves frequent interactions with students so exceptional communication skills (both oral and written) as well as commitment to outstanding customer service is of utmost importance. Ability to understand and uphold the confidentiality of highly sensitive information professional demeanor and strong commitment to quality in all activities is also required.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
3 years of administrative experience in a higher education environment is preferred. Previous exposure to business and a scientific/research operations type environment is a plus. Public Notary Certification
