Job Description

Christ the King is a Catholic elementary school in Rutland VT and is seeking a Middle School Science and History Teacher. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to differentiate and create an engaging and innovative learning environment in accordance with the schools mission statement policies and curriculum. It is essential for the teacher to design grade-appropriate lessons and build a positive class environment that motivates children to develop skills knowledge and attitudes according to each students ability in order to develop a solid foundation for continued learning. In addition the teacher will establish effective relationships with students parents staff and community members to enhance learning Responsibilities:Teach science and history to students in grades 6-8Design and implement engaging standards-based lesson plans that integrate faith and valuesAssess and monitor student progress through a variety of assessment methodsFoster a respectful structured and supportive classroom environmentCollaborate with fellow faculty administration and parents to support student learning and developmentParticipate in school-wide events liturgies and professional developmentIncorporate Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction and interactionsAbility to integrate technology into instruction effectively
