Job Description
Job Summary: The Head Coach for Mens Golf is responsible for leading all facets of a competitive NCAA Division I golf program in alignment with the mission and values of the University the American Athletic Conference and the NCAA . This individual will serve as a mentor educator and role model fostering a championship culture focused on academic achievement athletic excellence and personal growth. The coach is expected to promote the program positively within the campus community and broader athletics landscape while effectively managing personnel operations and a fiscally responsible budget. Essential Functions (Responsibilities): Provide visionary leadership and coaching for the mens golf program to ensure competitive success and holistic development of student-athletes. Plan organize and supervise all practice sessions competitions and team-related activities. Recruit and retain talented student-athletes who embody the academic and athletic standards of the University. Foster strong working relationships with athletic performance athletic training academic support and student services staff to support student-athlete well-being and success. Manage the programs budget in accordance with University and department guidelines demonstrating responsible and strategic fiscal oversight. Coordinate administrative operations including scheduling travel equipment compliance and public relations. Organize and participate in community outreach and campus engagement initiatives that enhance the visibility and reputation of the program. Collaborate with the Offices of Admissions and International Admissions to support the recruitment and enrollment process for prospective student-athletes. Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes ensuring NCAA eligibility and advancement toward graduation. Create a positive team culture that prioritizes student-athlete retention accountability and academic/athletic balance. Hire supervise and mentor a qualified coaching staff committed to the goals of the program and University. Ensure full compliance with NCAA conference and University regulations in all program activities including recruiting eligibility financial aid and competition. Actively engage in fundraising alumni relations and donor stewardship to support the program and athletic department priorities. Contribute to the overall success of the athletics department through collaboration and additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics or designee. Physical Demands
Physical Stamina : Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during practice sessions and tournaments. Strength and Flexibility : Capability to lift and carry golf equipment including bags and training aids weighing up to 50 pounds. Mobility : Adequate range of motion to demonstrate golf techniques and participate in physical training activities. Endurance : Capacity to travel frequently and manage long hours including early mornings and late evenings during competitions and training camps. Visual Acuity : Good vision to observe and analyze players techniques and performance accurately. General Fitness : Maintenance of a level of fitness that allows for active participation in training sessions and the ability to handle the physical demands of the job.

Required Qualifications
Knowledge/Skill/Ability Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills; strong self-starter; ability to work within the American Athletic Conference; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; ability to work closely with a diverse group of people Equivalent Education/Experience Bachelors degree One year collegiate coaching and/or playing experience in the sport of golf Special Job Dimensions: Work requires working with highly sensitive or confidential information and occasional overnight travel may occur.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree and demonstrated ability to work effectively with student-athletes faculty coaches and administrators.
