POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides comprehensive psychosocial assessment and recommends disposition according to standardized level of care criteria and consultation with on-call psychiatrist. Ensures linkage with other community agencies. Completes admission procedures for all programs within the Center for Mental Health (CFMH.) Performs telephone triage functions. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental and divisional nursing philosophy and objectives as well as Health System initiatives.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelors degree in Social Work Psychology or related field. Preferred psychiatric experience and/or crisis experience.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Obtain nonviolent crisis intervention certification within 90 days of hire and maintain on a bi-annual schedule.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to speak comfortably to groups for education and marketing purposes. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels within the organization and community. Strong organizational time management and critical decision making skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of the continuum of care. Successful completion of annual clinical age specific and job specific competencies and skills validation tools.
