Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4799 - $5274 per month
Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $4598 -$8318 per month
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical dental and vision plans membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) sick and vacation time and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary
Under general supervision of the HR Manager for Benefits the incumbent performs a wide variety of administrative and technical duties in support of multiple Human Resource programs. The primary purpose of this position is to provide a wide range of specialized administrative responsibilities by meeting its mission and anticipating resolving and researching problems that have significant impact on employees the Benefits Office and the community.
The position serves as resource person to approximately 2200 active employees retirees FERP and a wide variety of benefit vendors. Performs complex functions using technology professional organizational and interpersonal skills within a multi-task and fast paced environment; interacts at the high level within and outside the university often in sensitive interpersonal situations. Major areas of responsibility include health & voluntary benefits Affordable Care Act (ACA) coding retirement sessions Fee Waiver coordination benefits troubleshooting and audits and retiree benefits. Accordingly a high degree of autonomy is afforded the position requiring considerable judgment and discretion. The incumbent has authority to make an independent choice with minimal direction or supervision.
