JOB SUMMARY:

Our dynamic Ethos Risk Services is seeking a full-time Field Case Management Nurse in Syracuse NY to join our Medical Management division to provide field-based medical case management services for workers compensation claims. You will conduct patient assessments communicate with healthcare providers and deliver timely client updates in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational protocols. This role demands strong clinical judgment critical thinking and working independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Our ideal candidate is a seasoned Field Nurse Case Manager with a proven track record of building a book of business through a well-established network of adjusters and employers. They are known for cultivating trusted relationships that consistently lead to new referrals while delivering high-quality outcomes-focused case management services. This individual is highly professional self-motivated and excels at delivering timely effective case management services that support both recovery and return-to-work outcomes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide field case management including patient contact data analysis and ongoing provider communication.
  • Document case analysis and clinical decision-making using established medical criteria.
  • Maintain timely and professional communication with clients per Ethos policies.
  • Meet all relevant deadlines and comply with applicable state statutes and regulations.
  • Promote the objectives of the Medical Management Division and contribute to its overall success.
  • Safeguard confidential medical and personal information in compliance with privacy standards.
  • Perform additional duties as needed and appropriate to the role.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid RN License (required)
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification (preferred)

Experience/Skills:

  • Prior experience in a managed care or workers compensation environment (required).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic case documentation (required)
  • Must be initiative-taking independent and accountable. Strength in multi-tasking and clinical prioritization.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This is a field-based in-person role that requires regular travel throughout the assigned location and surrounding areas.
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation to travel to medical appointments employer sites and other required locations.
  • Frequent driving and time spent in various environments including medical offices hospitals employer locations and occasionally home offices.
  • May require occasional extended hours to meet deadlines or support urgent case needs.
  • Frequent use of a computer smartphone and other office technology to document cases communicate with stakeholders and manage workflow.
