Flexion Inc. a Madison WI based IT Consulting and Services firm is looking for a Senior Project Manager to work on a long-term consulting project. The client for this position is based in Madison WI.

Duties for this position will include:
Designs plans and coordinates work teams. Follows standard project management industrypractices such as the PMIs framework.
Understands business and technical objectives of aproject and works closely with the project sponsor.
Creates project charter and work plan andtracks budget and schedule progress via appropriate metrics.
Establishes project organizationand methodologies and defines roles and responsibilities.
Documents risks and developsmitigation plans.
Manages scope.
Creates and implements a communication plan.
Builds an effective team assigns tasks to teammembers and evaluates outcomes.
Negotiates resources.
Communicates to stakeholders andproject sponsor. Identifies tracks and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers.
Provides technical support to project team members. Handles complex application features andtechnical designs.
Designs and implements the components required for complex applicationfeatures.
Generally manages a group of applications systems analysts.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Professional certification is highly desirable.
Project Manager capabilities with 12 or more years of experience.
Capable of managing aproject with up to ten (10) or more staff and/or a project with multiple subprojects.
Skills required:
12 years of experience with each of the following:
Project Management
In-depth knowledge of System Development lie cycle deliverables for each phase of development
Demonstrated competence in promoting understanding and cooperation within and between stakeholders
Organization and project planning skills
Meeting facilitation with varying stakeholder groups including coordination communication and analysis
Scope and Risk Management
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
8 years of experience with each of the following:
Change Management
Requirements gathering and analysis
Experience managing projects that involve web application development including front and backend development technologies
Excellent Technical Writing and documentation skills
Creation or facilitation of user test systems test and user acceptance test plans
