Job Description

3 months contract with local authority

We are seeking a dedicated Child Protection Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and intervention services to children in need of protection. As a Child Protection Social Worker you will work closely with families communities and other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting assessments and investigations into cases of child abuse or neglect
  • Developing and implementing care plans for children at risk
  • Providing counseling and support to children and their families
  • Collaborating with other agencies and professionals to coordinate services
  • Advocating for the rights and needs of children in the child protection system
Required Skills:
  • Proven experience as a social worker with a focus on children
  • Strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Empathy and compassion for children in difficult circumstances

Requirements


  • Bachelors degree in Social Work or related field
  • Certification or licensure as a social worker
