The Product Scientist leads new product development ensures regulatory compliance and drives R&D innovation. This role demands strong organizational skills effective documentation practices and the ability to manage multiple projects. The candidate should be a technical expert and a collaborative team player who is comfortable working with various departments.
Independently create product formulations across various categories.
Our industry is highly regulated so all products must comply with state and federal laws. Every product must be fully documented and easily traceable.
It is essential to conduct research on new ingredients processes and innovations to support product development.
Conduct prototype evaluations and refine formulations based on feedback and data analysis. Maintain logs for evaluation feedback and data analysis.
Perform product testing to validate stability and effectiveness.
Collaborate with team members from other departments.
Identify opportunities for process improvement.
The employee may be required to perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This job may involve supervision of the production process of products as needed.
Work Environment:
This role involves working in a lab and production facility using office equipment like laptops desktops smartphones and photocopiers. Personal Protective Equipment is required in specific areas.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This role requires on-site work at our Utah location with no remote or telecommuting options. The schedule is 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday with a half-hour lunch. Occasional evening and weekend work may be needed. Management may adjust exact hours as necessary for business needs.
Physical Demands:
The physical requirements for this job include close vision and focus adjustment typing filing and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds. The employee must also tolerate various ingredient scents used in production.
