Job Description
Summary
Department: Pharmacy
Shift timings: 07:00-17:30 Monday to friday (4 Days/ 10 Hours)
Per Week: 40 Hours.
Then remaining time needed in rotations thru day and evening shifts. Shift & times (example: 7a-3p 7a-7p) Days Mids. Nights All shifts are 10-hour shifts Days: 7:00am 5:30pm Eves: 1:00pm 11:30pm Nights: 9:00pm 7:30am. Nights are 7 on/7 off Every other weekend work requirement in line with regular scheduling. Holiday Rotation- If holidays come up when on Night shift whichever holiday falls on the 7-on rotation would be the ones to work. During the rotations thru day and evening shift holiday requirement is one major holiday (Thanksgiving Christmas or New Years) and 1 minor holiday (July 4th Labor Day Memorial Presidents Day etc). EMR EPIC ADC Pyxis Pharmacist-licensed in CA. No issues on license.

Responsibilities
- Review and assess medication orders to identify prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems.
- Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.
- Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients.
- Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
- Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.
- Oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation maintenance and dispensing of medications and supplies.
- Assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students.
- May float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs.
- Provide patient counseling efficiently and effectively when required.
