Job Description

Audiologist Part-Time

Location:
Northern Cheyenne Service Unit
420 North Cheyenna Ave.
Lame Deer MT 59043

  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship
  • Clearance Requirements: National Crime Information Center (NCIC) with fingerprints and Drug Screen
  • Estimated Compensation: $53.00 - $55.00 per hour (negotiable).
  • Type of Employment: Part-Time - average 2 Days per month.
  • Relationship: 1099 Independent Contractor.

Summary of Duties

The qualified Audiologist will provide comprehensive outpatient audiology services including diagnostic and rehabilitative care for patients of all ages. This role requires expertise in audiological evaluations hearing aid provision and rehabilitation services. The Audiologist will work in accordance with Section 7.0 performance-based requirements ensuring high-quality patient care.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited program.
  • Montana Audiology license (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical audiology (preferred).
  • Strong communication and patient-care skills.
  • Proficiency in using audiology equipment and EHR systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide audiology services on designated clinic days (2434 per year minimum 2 per month).
  • Conduct and interpret comprehensive audiologic evaluations including:
    - Air and bone conduction testing
    - Otoacoustic Emissions testing
    - Soundfield testing
    - Play Audiometry
    - Site-of-Lesion tests
  • Provide Audiologic rehabilitation services including:
    - Hearing aid evaluations fittings and follow-ups
    - Hearing aid orientations and counseling for patients and families
    - Aural rehabilitation services
  • Maintain an inventory of hearing aid supplies and ensure all necessary paperwork (repairs ear mold orders etc.) is completed.
  • Participate in the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Program including:
    - Training nurses
    - Reporting data to the State of Montana
    - Scheduling re-screenings and referring patients for further diagnostic evaluation
    • Maintain proper Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation of patient services.
    • Ensure audiologic equipment calibration and inventory management.
    • Establish hearing conservation programs and provide in-service training to nurses providers and other relevant staff (such as Dental and Maintenance teams).
