Emerson Electric Co. is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer for its offices in Eden Prairie MN
Job Description:
Install commission update startup and utilize the Honeywell Experion and Siemens Process Control Systems to perform tests to verify interoperability with asset management software HART instrumentation Foundation Fieldbus instrumentation and Profibus/PROFINET field instrumentation. Add new hardware and software to the Honeywell and Siemens systems to complete various system tests. Upgrade the Honeywell and Siemens host systems to resolve any system and integration issues as they are encountered. Perform system integration testing of Emerson field devices with several distributed control host systems. Develop test methods develop test plans attend project meetings establish test procedures discuss test results with project teams plan test lab needs/setups procure software and hardware equipment and participate in technical project discussions. Ensure software testing is adequate to maintain project/product quality while achieving project schedules and budgets. Manage and maintain Eden Prairie interoperability test lab and all distributed control systems and all lab equipment. Part-time telecommuting permitted.
Job Requirements:
A Bachelors degree or the foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering Computer Science or a closely related technical field plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in an instrumentation and control engineering occupation.
The required experience must include the following:
5 years of experience performing installation commissioning and startup of the Honeywell Experion Process Control System;
3 years of experience working with Foundation Fieldbus instrumentation and asset management software; and
3 years of experience working with HART transmitters.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $142428 - $208300 annually commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
