Job Description
Currie Golf Courses is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Spray Technician. The desired candidate would be someone who enjoys working outdoors is a team player self-motivated detailed oriented and appreciates the value of hard work.
Duties include but not limited to mix prepare and apply chemical solutions (insecticides herbicides fungicides). The candidate will also keep up with pesticide and fertilizer inventory as well as keeping records of pesticide and fertilizer applications
Job Description:
- Apply fertilizer and chemical applications
- Update spray records inventory and MSDS sheets
- Calibrate spray equipment and fertilizer spreaders
- General upkeep and maintenance on spray equipment
- Over time be able to start diagnosing pest and fungus issues
Special Requirements:
- Have no problems wearing spray applicator suites full face respirators or chemical resistantapparel
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Perform simple calculations
- Willing to learn
- Detail oriented
- Keep area neat and organized
- Have or willing to obtain Pesticide Applicators License within 60 days of employment
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Secondary studies in turf agronomy or insects is desirable but not necessary.
