Delta Dental of Kentucky is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Operations Support Analyst in our Louisville Kentucky office. Job Summary This department is responsible for the business side of DDKYs enterprise system provided on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) basis by SKYGEN a technology platform for insurance benefits encompassing client set-up and billing benefit eligibility claims processing customer service provider network data broker/producer payment and the data warehouse. This role supports ongoing operational activities including assisting with user support documentation testing and process configurations. The position also aids in business analysis tasks such as needs assessment planning analysis and implementation. It supports requests for new functionalities coordinates with vendors as necessary and monitors operational processes to ensure smooth delivery.
Primary Job Responsibilities - Assist with troubleshooting and tracking operational issues including development testing and implementation of process improvements and solutions
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal business leaders fostering ongoing communication to identify needs and develop proactive solutions
- Assist in configuring systems and coordinating bulk updates and changes to operational processes
- Participate in periodic updates to enterprise systems and coordinate impact assessments with business stakeholders
- Assist in developing test plans and scripts for both automated and manual testing of process changes supporting testing phases such as preliminary checks regression and user acceptance
- Identify document and resolve issues found during testing to ensure readiness for full operational deployment
- Evaluate work orders and change requests to determine necessary process enhancements within departments
- Participate in organizational and process improvement initiatives aligned with strategic objectives
- Facilitate delivery of custom solutions through thorough testing and planning for enhancements and implementation
- Analyze current processes and recommend improvements to meet future operational needs
- Collaborate with process owners business leaders and operational users to translate business needs into actionable plans
- Support updates to enterprise operations to comply with corporate policies and regulatory changes
- Assist with managing defect resolution and coordinate solution deployment with external vendors and internal teams
- Help maintain documentation inventories such as process workflows training materials custom solutions and test cases
- Proactively anticipate potential problems and suggest alternatives or solutions as needed
- Perform additional related duties as required to support operational effectiveness and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications Preferred candidates will have a bachelors degree in business or an equivalent technical institute diploma or relevant on-the-job experience in place of a formal degree. A background of three or more years in insurance healthcare or related fields is preferred along with experience in business analysis and quality assurance testing. A suitable combination of education training and experience will also be considered.
This role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with business units to analyze document and recommend process improvements. Candidates should be skilled in mapping functional requirements for enterprise systems to support vendor and internal modifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential with the capacity to make timely and sound decisions. The ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and complex environment is vital.
The position also requires proficiency in technology tools particularly Microsoft Office applications (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint OneNote).
