Description
Aerometals is looking to add the following position:
Composites Fabricator
Pay range: $21 - $25 hourly DOE
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- Follow traveler drawing and specification requirements pertaining to fabrication of composite parts to include fiberglass layups honeycomb and metal-to-metal bonded structures.
- Understand tooling and material requirements for jobs.
- Develop required patterns for materials to be used.
- Perform standard part layups and bagging.
- Identify test requirements and ensure proper test coupons are processed with each production batch.
- Complete all required documentation related to assigned jobs.
- Handle apply store and dispose of composite materials adhesives sealants resins and solvents.
- Follow foreign object debris (FOD) practices and maintain a clean work area to ensure adherence to standards.
- Perform any other duties as required by the organization.
Qualification Requirements:
Education: None
Skills:
- Ability to interpret drawings specifications and work instructions to fabricate composite structures.
- Ability to operate the autoclave.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing / assembly environment.
Training: On the job training.

Aerometals Inc. of El Dorado Hills California is a 40-year veteran of commercial and military aerospace manufacturing. We offer a full range of production services including CNC machining and turning sheet metal fabrication welding assembly autoclave and precision assembly. Aerometals has significant experience manufacturing critical application militarized components to OEM engineering data for use on many fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. Customers include the US Military Boeing Lockheed Sikorsky etc.
