Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sr Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire distribution management system within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing distribution policies and procedures managing a team of distribution professionals and ensuring that distribution and warehouse activities meet or exceed company objectives. The Sr Distribution Manager conducts regular audits reviews distribution and warehouse performance data and collaborates with other departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing distribution and warehouse documentation ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations and reporting on distribution and warehouse performance to senior leadership.


Responsibilities:

Logistics Management:
Plan and coordinate transportation routes and schedules
Monitor and track shipments to ensure onetime delivery
Analyze transportation and distribution costs and identify cost saving opportunities
Implement and maintain transportation and distribution software systems

Oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse and distribution operations
Monitor and analyze warehouse and distribution data to identify areas for improvement
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
Manage and maintain relationships with external transportation and distribution partners
Develop and implement emergency response plans for distribution disruptions


Strategic Planning
Create and implement long-term business strategies
Develop and monitor budgets and financial plans
Analyze market trends and make recommendations for improvement


Project Management
Oversee project timelines and ensure deadlines are met
Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth project execution
Identify and resolve any project issues or conflicts

Supply Chain Management
Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors
Monitor and analyze supply chain processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Quality Control
Develop and enforce quality control procedures
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with standards
Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions

Risk Management
Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Monitor and address any legal or regulatory issues

Customer Service
Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients
Address any customer complaints or concerns
Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction

Data Analysis and Reporting
Track and analyze key performance indicators
Generate reports on operations and present to upper management
Use data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.

Team Management:
Lead and manage a team providing guidance feedback and support.
Set goals and KPIs for team members and monitor performance.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Develop and implement training programs to keep team members updated on trends and strategies.

Qualifications:
Bachelors in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field with at least 5 years experience. with at least 2 years experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories principles and concepts.
Proven experience in import/export operations with significant supervisory experience.
Expert level understanding of advanced failure analysis techniques.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report findings and make recommendations.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel Google Analytics and various CRM platforms.
Experience with digital marketing strategies including SEO PPC and SEM campaigns.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively.
A strategic thinker with a test and learn approach to marketing efforts and process improvements.
Resource Allocation: Allocate personnel tools and other resources efficiently to achieve project goals. Balance competing priorities and adapt as needed.
End-to-end Project Management: Lead improvement projects from initiation to completion. Monitor progress address challenges and ensure timely delivery of measurable results.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120000to $150000 plus pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location and is not typically at the top of the range.
