Job Description

Description of Service Opportunity:

Create and foster relationships with students to help identify equitable needs and ensure each student is making progress through modular learning.
Facilitate and coach each student in the cohort during 2 WEEKLY 1-on-1 fifteen minute check-ins.
Maintain open communication with students as they progress through the modules
Review student thinking and overall student comprehension
Desmos Activities will collect students thinking and understanding
Assessments will be facilitator-graded
Provide ongoing feedback and encouragement for students throughout modules
Co-Manage a Google Classroom for your student.

MinimumRequirements:

Experience and confidence in remote teaching. Experience teaching middle school mathematics; Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college/university; knowledge teaching summer programs; experience dealing with diverse student populations and familiarity working in an urban setting preferred. Priority will be given to regularly appointed teachers from Cambridge Public School District.

Length of Contract:

July 1 2025 through August 15 2025

Contract Amount:

Not to exceed $6550.00

Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exemptemployee and have worked more than 40 hours a week you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours.
